Ok, so in all honesty, this was a practice session me and my friend Brea decided to have in place of the headshot session that was initially scheduled for that day, which was cancelled due to Bronchitis… Ick right? So we made lemonade out of bronchitis, or whatever the saying is 😉 Sadly, I can’t take credit for the awesome background though. She made that herself. We had a great time trying out some stuff and fine tuning our work. Practice makes perfect!

As a special treat for Christmas eve, I present to you a fun family shoot I did a few weeks ago. The Eldridge family is one that has an especially sweet spirit. The parents are fun and loving, and the children are respectful and goofy. They are all around a good group of people to be around. I enjoyed every part of this shoot… especially the parts in the barn 🙂 The cool textures and smooth light made for some awesome photos.

As a special photo, Joe really wanted to get a picture with his violin. So we brought out the door and did some cool stylish pictures like the one I posted before. These were pretty sweet.

There are 2 things that are certain about this child. The first is that his best friend will definitely be baby Wyatt. Their big sisters are best friends, and it has been decided that they will be too 🙂 The second is that he’s gonna feel super comfortable on a boat, because his room is decorated almost like one. It was a welcome break from some of the other generic boy room decorations. This family was super loving and you can tell by how the parents interact that the two kids are well loved, not to mention that I met 2 of the grandmothers during the shoot as well. This family sticks together, and they will be able to weather any storm, whether on the water or on land. Check out this awesome family below and leave them some comment love at the end!

Ok. So when I was in high school, I knew absolutely nothing about photography, and could have cared less. Now however, especially after seeing how Sawyer’s senior portraits turned out, I am super jealous of him. I mean seriously, how epic are some of these pictures. Manly to the max. TANKS. Why couldn’t I have had tanks in my senior portraits?
All that aside, Sawyer is a shockingly respectful, thoughtful, and caring guy. Tanks and Caring… careful ladies.

Senior portraits are great. As you’ll see, Morgan is bursting with personality. My original plan was to do some fun pictures in a costume shop, due to her love of theater, but that plan was foiled. Luckily, we had an incredibly beautiful day and tons in lexington to work with, so we took advantage of those resources. The result of which was that we had an incredible time getting incredible shots that show off her personality and style. What more could a Senior girl want?

These next several shots show off her personality like crazy! The smile and laughter is definitely a big part of who she is.

I got a couple of quick shots of the cousins together since their shoots were happening simultaneously!

Could there be a more appropriate background? I think not.

We finished off with the very well perfected “Daddy can I please…” look 🙂
