The most important thing to know about getting great engagement photos, after getting a good photographer of course 😉 is that the more relaxed and comfortable with each other you are the better the portraits will be. Thats one part of why I love Gary and Melissa.  They are 100% comfortable with who they are and with each other.  They love each other, are joyful, and their faith shines through in everything they do.  When there is that much beauty to be captured about a couple, you can’t take a bad photo.  Every moment is a treasure.

These two had one of their first dates at the Frazier history museum.  So they dropped that knowledge on me and we decided to start there to get some awesome shots… we just had to watch out for canons, knives and other pointy things 🙂 Then down to the river front for some truely louisville-ian scenery.

New locations are always exciting, especially when you have such a beautiful day and amazing light. The brand new walking bridge in downtown Louisville made for a perfect spot, along with some other little places we found along the way. Â Aaron and Amelia are an awesome couple with amazing personalities that definitely shine through in their photos. Â Their wedding is gonna be a rocking party, and I’m hyped to be capturing it.
